A great family attraction in Cape Panwa is the Phuket Aquarium where visitors can encounter the wonderful creatures that inhabit Thailand’s lakes, rivers and the Andaman Sea. A highlight is the underwater tunnel where gigantic fish and sharks swim above your head. After exploring the tropical fish and sea creatures there is an outdoor nature trail leading to a turtle sanctuary.
Phuket Islands
There are some amazing tropical islands off the Cape Panwa coast that are wonderful to explore on a day trip. We have special packages for guests who would like to go and explore islands nearby, including a day trip to Phi Phi Island, Bamboo Island and Pileh Lagoon. Those that love exploring the ocean should not miss a day trip to the Similan Islands.
Phuket Oldtown
The cultural and historic heart of Phuket has been regenerated in recent years and has become an attraction in itself. The Old Town consists of four main streets and their side alleys where Sino-Portuguese buildings have been restored and quaint shops, restaurants and cafes have opened. There are mansions and museums where visitors can learn more about island life over 100 years ago. Every Sunday evening Thalang Road in the Old Town opens as a lively walking street where visitors can discover local handicrafts and cuisine.
